Our products should never be dry cleaned. The harsh temperature and chemicals that are used during dry clean just do not mix well with Heat Transfer.

By turning the products inside out, you’re giving the heat transfer a layer of protection during the wash. While washing and drying clothes, they’re rubbing up against each other and that abrasion during washing can cause your vinyl to peel prematurely.

When washing your products, you don’t want your water temperature to exceed 150 degrees Fahrenheit. High temperatures can weaken the heat transfer which can cause the lettering and designs to peel or crack.

Detergents that are “green” can be too harsh for heat transfer technology. You should also avoid bleach and fabric softeners in order to make the lettering last as long as possible.

We ALWAYS RECOMMEND that you hang dry your products for best results. Hang drying will minimize any wrinkles or future cracks on the letters after washing.

Just like when washing, you don’t want to dry your products on high heat. If you stick with tumble dry or low heat, you should be good to go. However, all drying machines tend to be different even wen they have the same or similar drying cycles. Therefore it becomes very difficult to control how much heat will the machine produce (even on a low heat cycle) and how long should be safe or not to leave your products on. Our products have been designed to be used on very low heat cycles, but it will always be advisable to Hang Dry for optimum durability.

You won’t ever want to iron directly on any of the heat transfer design areas. The high heat on the heat transfer will melt it or will burn the adhesive material. Regardless, ironing directly on heat transfer design is a great way to ruin it. If you must iron the legging, make sure to use low heat and place a dish towel or cloth over the transfer. However, we do not recommend it.
